Diwali festival is celebrated approx 20 days after Dashhara festival. It is believed that on the day of Kartika Amavasya, Lord Rama returned Ayodhya after killing Ravana. When Lord Rama returned Ayodhya, people of the region lit lamp to welcome Rama. Since then Diwali is celebrated on Kartika Amavasya every year. This festival is celebrated across all over India and is one of the most famous festivals.

Diwali is famous festival of Hindu which is celebrated every year on Kartik Amavasya. The preparation of Diwali festival starts from the begining of Navratri. As per Epic Ramayana, Lord Rama killed the Ravana on Vijaya Dashmi also know as Dashahara and then returned to Ayodhya. He reached Ayodhya on Kartik Amavasya. To wellcom the God Rama, people of Ayodhya lit diyas. Since then every year Diwali is celebrated on Kartik Amavasya.

Diwali is five days festival starting from Dhanteras. On Dhanteras it is believed that people should purchase someting new as it is sign of prosperity. After Dhanteras, Narak Chardashi is celebrated. After Diwali Goverdhan Pooja is celebrated and after second day of diwali Bhaiyadooj is celebrated.

During diwali festive season markets are full with new arrival and people purchase lot of things through online shopping and offline shopping.
